The Montana Oral Health Foundation (MOHF), an affiliate of the Montana Dental Association, announces the opening of the Mary McCue Pre-dental Student Scholarship. The award is to assist Montana college students pursuing a career as a dentist. This scholarship complements other MOHF scholarships for dental assisting and dental hygiene.
The scholarship was established in memory of Mary McCue, Esq., long-time friend of dentistry and past Executive Director of the Montana Dental Association. More at Mary_McCue_Memorial.
The Montana Oral Health Foundation will award up to three scholarships of up to $500 each. Past recipients have received funds to attend an introductory pre-dental clinic simulation course offered by dental schools. Other options, such as applying for dental school, are available. Applicants must submit the scholarship application form by May 8.
Qualified applicants must:
- Be planning on applying to dental school;
- Be currently enrolled in or have graduated from a Montana university or college;
- Submit a copy of your most recent transcript or grades; and
- Demonstrate, through a short essay, a passion for the profession of dentistry.
